Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course
The Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is not your everyday municipal. Built in 1941 by the Works Progress Administration, the golf course was reclaimed by the City Of Goldsboro in 1999 and completely renovated under the supervision of renowned golf course architect John LaFoy.
The renovated course features large, and new for 2012, ‘Champion’ Bermuda grass greens which average over 6,000 square feet each, 419 Bermuda fairways, concrete cart paths throughout, and features a full-service pro shop.
The Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of Goldsboro Parks and Recreation Department.
Lane Tree Golf Club
Naturally located on a hilly terrain with a wide, unmatched topographical range, Lane Tree Golf Club has high vantage points that lend a dynamic view of the entire course. Hole designs are 1/2 Scottish and 1/2 southern traditional with a couple of holes appearing like those from the mountainous region.
You’ll find five holes bordered by the Little River with 15 ponds or lakes on the course and over 5 miles of paved cart paths. Our grass practice range is unlike any other in the area and the large practice putting green is conveniently located adjacent to the pro shop.
Designed by architect John LaFoy, Lane Tree is located on the Little River in Goldsboro, North Carolina. With yardages from 5,100 to 7,200 yards, our tees can accommodate beginners and professionals alike.
Southern Wayne Country Club
The 18-hole “Southern Wayne” course at the Southern Wayne Country Club facility in Mount Olive, North Carolina features 6,270 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 69.2 and it has a slope rating of 115 on Bermuda grass. Southern Wayne golf course opened in 1968.
